I noticed paint specks on the driver side of Leroy over the weekend. I do not know where they came from. I am going to give the car a good wash -- the severe storm NJ had Monday (03/28) did nothing to remove the specks -- and use claybar on it. I will let everyone know how it turns out... but in the meantime you can check out the pictures and commiserate with me wah wah wah...

Just under 2,500 miles. Weekend trip to da' shore and I averaged 31.2 MPG. If you see a slow movin' HB MCSC on the Garden State Parkway... wave as you pass me by!

Took Leroy on his first extended drive this past weekend... off to Toms River to meet my folks. I am such a speed p*ssy driving down the Garden State Parkway but so what... I look damn cool cruisin' in the granny lane. My driving habits -- more particularly my feather foot -- are a result of years of driving a rear wheel drive pickup truck (which I still use for daily commuting). Anyone who has driven one of these will know what I mean.

But I was never about speed... I am actually interested in Leroy's fuel efficiency. I am not familiar with resetting the computer that tracks this information, but for now I average 25/mpg (since date of delivery). Not bad for an S. Leroy spends more time on city roads than on open highways...

I took part in a focus group for recent Cooper convertible owners. Eight signed up but due to the storm, only four appeared. I drove Gertie down since I did not want Leroy to suffer the bad weather. It was fun running my mouth off about my MINI and listening to others discuss their experiences, why they bought one, blah blah blah.
