Leroy gets a car wash. Since I am quite far from my dealer, it does not make sense to have them clean it. Besides, the local car wash service I use does a pretty good job with Gertie (my truck) so I figured I would let them take a crack at Leroy. I took a photo of one of the cleaners (check out my photos). He first thought I worked for the Better Business Bureau but when I told him it was for my website he took it with stride. I took a lot more pictures but have yet to sift through which one(s) will make it to the OL.

Car washer

For all you non Mini owners, Mini-USA provides all mini owners free car washes for life! Pretty cool eh? Leroy's been washed by Prestige Mini twice.

OL - Owner's Lounge. All posts were originally posted to the Owner's Lounge. However I am migrating this blog out of the lounge for two reasons; 1) it is getting big (I plan on updating indefinitely), 2) why should only Owner's Loungers enjoy my useless banter? I figured the entire Internet community can waste precious moments reading yet another useless blog!

Leroy has been covered up for almost two weeks due to bad weather. Where is spring?!?!? Earlier this week I discovered the car cover partially removed from Leroy. I do not know if the wind did it or if some curious pedestrian wanted to take a look. I am banking on the latter since Leroy is usually tucked away and I have never had problems with the car cover being 'blown' off. What irks me is that if someone did remove the car cover to peek underneath, he/she should have had the courtesy to cover it up again. It had been raining all day and Leroy's boot was soaking wet! Geez...

Down 'da shore and detoured to Howell, NJ to visit Shore Motorsports to pick up some Zaino products. I have heard nothing but praise for these products so I figured I would give them a try. Unfortunately NJ is scheduled for rain until Mid next week. It looks like I won't be giving Leroy the Zaino treatment until Memorial weekend. BTW, I drove Gertie to the shore due to supposed inclement weather. Man was the meteorologist wrong! I sighed with envy everytime a topless car passed me on the GSP.

I drove Saturday (05/07) with the top down during a mild drizzle. The precipitation was light enough that I did not feel it, but heavy enough to warrant the wipers. It made for a very surreal driving experience.
