6,741 miles - 'Dirty Jobs' Syndrome

Does anyone watch 'Dirty Jobs' on the Discovery channel? I caught a few episodes last season. The show takes the host across the country to showcase jobs that most people would rather not do; roadkill disposal, septic tank cleaner to name a few.

The point of the series is incidental. The reason why I bring up the show is because I feel I have 'Dirty Jobs' Syndrome. Now in its second year, the show's host is soliciting its viewers for potential dirty jobs to feature. Myself? I find myself asking what to write about. It has only been a few months, and I am already running out of things to blog.

For now, I have no plans to stop. I will continue to blog my adventures and observations regarding my MINI.

With any luck, the folks at 'Dirty Jobs' will manage as well. It's actually a pretty funny show.

6,395 miles

Well, until Saturday (10/15) it had been raining on/off (more on though) for about a week and during this time my MINI was not covered. Last Sunday (10/09) I took my MINI to the Bayonne Park so I can jog and when I returned home, I failed to put the cover on. The following day it rained. The next day it rained. The day after that it rained... (wah)

I had applied Raggtopp Canvas Top Protectant last month so I wasn't too worried. After the rain, I was treated to dime-sized water drops on my soft-top (should have took a picture) and when I took my MINI to work one morning, those droplets of water on my roof cascaded like small waterfalls down the windshield and passenger windows as I started driving. Very nice. Raggtopp did a good job repelling the water.

Observation time: I am noticing a lot more MINIs on the road... and I have counted 2 MINIs just in Bayonne that I see most mornings during my commute to work. Saturday (10/15) I saw a MINI 'vert (top down) making its way to the Bayonne turnpike tolls. For my sake, I hope the driver was just going through town. Oh well, so much for being the only one in town to boast a MINI.

I think I will tag them with my nemini flyers (haha).

Motor on everybody!
